Information for New Student Applicants

We are looking to add five or six new student members to our department! Although we are primarily looking for first year students, class year is not necessarily a disqualifying factor. Our members have been publicizing our program around campus since returning to campus, and the recruitment cycle will continue until we select the next group of student members in mid-September. No experience is required, and our department will pay for all of your training and equipment. After completing your first year, all students will receive NYS Firefighter 1 certification, and there are several opportunities for EMT-B training. A calendar with training dates and important events can be found below, but please reach out to us if you have any questions about the program.
