Our District

As an ISO Class 3, volunteer fire department, the Hamilton Fire Department provides fire, rescue and emergency medical services in the village of Hamilton and the Towns of Hamilton, Lebanon, and Madison. Colgate University, Community Memorial Hospital, and the Hamilton Municipal Airport are some of the largest developments that we serve. Situated in Central New York, approximately 35 miles southeast of Syracuse, our primary response area is roughly 27 square miles, with close to 9,000 permanent residents.

In addition to our primary response area, the Hamilton Fire Department provides fire and rescue services to the Earlville, Hubbardsville, and Madison Fire Departments through our automatic mutual aid agreements. We also provides these services to other departments in Madison, Chenango and Oneida Counties upon request.
