On Wednesday morning, the long anticipated delivery of the new rescue was fulfilled, when around 10:00 am it was backed into place at the station. HFD members took in training provided by Tyler Fire Equipment reps and worked throughout the day to place most of the equipment . Plenty of work remains to determine final placement of equipment as well as radio installation , and service from Tyler Fire to finish some minor problems that were anticipated as well as some additional equipment mounting.
The same morning saw the departure of the old Rescue 195 to the East Rutherford Fire Department , where it will be placed into service as a Haz-Mat unit. We wish them best of luck with the truck.
