On Monday, 4/7/08 the members of the Fountain Fire Company No.1 held yearly election of fire officers at the annual meeting with the results as follows:
Fire Chief : Ross Hoham
Asst Chief: Richard Holcomb
Asst Chief: Brian Marks Captain : Jason Murray Lieutenant: Brendt Simpson Lieutenant: Matt Nelson Lieutenant: Jim Althaus
The results of the elections for Fountain Fire Company officers are as follows:
President: Bill Basher
First Vice President: Rob Wise
Second Vice President: Matt "Yeti" Nelson
Secretary: John Basher
Treasurer: Bill Laruffa
Personnel Officer: David G Holcomb
NOTE:
Bruce Prindle has decided to retire from the post of Treasurer after
28 years. A thank you should go out to Bruce for his years of dedicated
service in that office.
(Elections of Fire Department Line officers will be held as usual at
the April meeting. )

We have opened a Google group account under the name Hamiltonfire. It is available to all past and
present HFD members, as an open forum for discussion. Access will be limited to current members or those with prior
membership

Congratulations to Nick Chen, Seth Green, Brian Martin, Sarajane McMahon, Alex Montgomery, Nick Pollack,
Nick Sasso, and Chris Sheline for their successful completion of the Firefighter 1 class.
The Village of Hamilton has signed the contract awarding American LaFrance the bid on the new
Heavy Rescue 195. The new rescue will seat 7 firefighters and will have a 18' walk around body with
roll up compartment doors.
Congratulations to Lou Aliperti, Phil Cole, Jack Hale, Ryan Harbison, Luke Janson, Paul McMahon, and Alex Weinberg,
2007 Graduates of Colgate University and an Awesome group of Firefighters. We cannot express enough for your
dedication to the Hamilton Fire Department. You will all be greatly missed. Thank You all for everything and best of luck in the future.
5/25/07 The first 6 Knox boxes have been installed in the village. The HFD would like to thank
the Hamilton Initiative LLC for their assistance in getting this program started.
