EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

The Hamilton Fire Department is a New York State certified Basic Life Support first response rescue agency. The HFD responds to all medical emergency calls within the primary response area that meet the county's dispatch criteria for an ALS call. The HFD also responds to all personal injury motor vehicle crashes. Hamilton Fire Department personnel are trained in vehicle extrication as well as low/high angle and confined space technical rescue.

Both of HFD's rescue units (Heavy 195 / Light duty 195-1) are state certified BLS rescue units and are equipped with full compliments of EMS gear and equipment including automated external defibrillators (AED's).
