Ross Hoham

Ross began his firefighting career with the Earlville Fire Department in 1992. He joined the Hamilton Fire Department in 1993. Since then, Ross worked his way up through the officer ranks and now serves as one of the department's training officers and Fire Chief. Ross is a NYS certified firefighter, training officer, and is certified to the fire officer 1 level. Ross also has various training and certifications in hazardous materials response, confined space rescue, low/high angle technical rescue, vehicle extrication, FAST team, and wildland firefighting.
Ross is a 1992 graduate of Hamilton Central School. He attended Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY where he received an associate’s degree from the institute for prehospital emergency medicine. Ross is a nationally registered Paramedic, as well as a board certified Flight Paramedic. He currently works for Mercy Flight Central, Inc as a flight paramedic and operations supervisor in charge of the company’s satellite base in Marcellus, NY. Ross is an active instructor and regular speaker at area Fire/EMS and hospital based functions.
