Assistant Chief

Brian Marks

 

Brian joined the fire service September of 1987 as a member of the Eaton Fire District working his way through the ranks, making it to the Assistant chief position, serving a total of 13 years with the District. After relocating to Hamilton, Brian joined the Hamilton Fire Department in 2000 as a member of the Carl Baum Hook and Ladder Company. Now serving as Second Assistant Chief, Brian is one of the departments training officers, with training and certifications in FAST, Firefighter Survival, Confined Space rescue, Ice & Cold water rescue, extensive training in Vehicle Extrication and completion of FEMA's Incident Command and National Response Plan. Brian is a NYS Certified EMT-D and a Nationally Certified Emergency Medical Dispatcher.

Some of Brian's station duties include: training, vehicle maintenance and apparatus operator training, yearly hose test, NIFRS Fire reporting and yearly stats. Brian lives in Hamilton with his wife Sue and daughter Cassie and is employed at Colgate University.
