Safety Officer

John Basher

John joined the Hamilton Fire Department in 1959. He served as Fire Chief
from 1980-1985 and again from 1988-1990. John has fire training certifications in many areas ranging from pump operations, and fire extinguisher maintenance to Training Officer and Safety Officer. John is a member of the NYS Fire Marshall's and Inspector's Association, and the NFPA. On the Madison County level, John serves on the Madison County radio advisory committee, and is a recently retired member of the Madison County Fire Advisory Board where he served for 30 years.
John is past Assistant Director of Fire Safety for Colgate University.
